This is part two of a three part course, and all three online sessions must be attended to complete module 10A, but you can mix and match session dates, including with other Areas/Counties. Attendance on all 3 sessions is compliant to return to face to face Scouting, but a short practical assessment (module 10B) will be available soon and must be completed (or an external certificate obtained) by the end of January 2022.
Aim: This course aims to cover the knowledge and skills necessary to enable members of The Scouts and Girlguiding to provide basic first aid and ensure safe management of a first aid incident.
Objectives: By the end of the training participants will have had the opportunity to be
● provided with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role.
● helped to build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations.
● equipped with the knowledge needed to manage these emergencies.
Please book each session separately at https://booking.gwentscouts.org.uk – numbers are strictly limited so priority will be given to volunteers from within the Gwent Area (Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Monmouthshire and Torfaen)Register here
