Is your group interested in supporting refugees? Join an online session with Save the Children UK!
Save the Children UK is one of 6 partners of our community impact programme, A Million Hands. Since 2019, Scouts have been working with Save the Children on the theme of ‘supporting refugees and displaced children’ – you can find a wide range of activities on this theme here, suitable for all age groups.
We know that members have been really concerned about what’s going on in Afghanistan recently, and how people in Wales can support refugees arriving from that country and elsewhere. So, we’re working with Save the Children to hold two informative and fun online sessions on Tuesday 19th October – one for Beavers & Cubs at 6:15pm-7:15pm,
In these sessions, Save the Children staff will join us to tell us about their work, talk to groups about the importance of being welcoming and supporting refugees in our communities, and they will run of one of their many fantastic interactive activities for A Million Hands! They will also tell groups about current and upcoming opportunities to make their voices heard to support refugees.
