Beavers come after Squirrels

We’ve lots of groups all over Wales. From Ammanford to Aberystwyth, young people are ditching screens for streams and learning to make their own fun!

Being a Beaver in Wales

Beavers meet weekly like our other Scouting groups, usually for around 1½ or 2 hours. Weekly sessions are organised by local leaders and help you to make new friends and try new things. Taking part helps you improve and feel more confident, we call this building skills for life.

Experienced people lead Beavers in Wales

Weekly sessions are led by a handful of very patient and qualified leaders. These people are all local helpers who have been trained to keep children safe and happy. We are always looking for volunteers to get involved in Beavers.

More information about Beavers

Any child aged 6 – 8 can become a Beaver. You may have already been a Squirrel but it doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to Scouting. You can read all about Beavers on the Scouts UK website. This is the place to find out what the uniform looks like, the badges you’ll earn and what to expect when you join.
