DofE training with ScoutsCymru

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme (DofE) is a programme of personal development for young people aged between 14 and 25. Some young people take part through their school but you can also take part through Scouts.

What is the Duke of Edinburgh Award?

The DofE has been around for many years. It creates the chance to discover new interests and talents and build essential skills for life and work. It’s a well-known recognised mark of achievement, respected by employers. You can see why it is a natural fit for Scouts!

Working towards a Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Wales

The DofE Award can be achieved at three different levels: bronze, silver and gold. Many young people in Explorers get involved. Some of our Scouting awards (Chief Scout’s Platinum & Diamond Awards, and the King’s Scout Award) are linked directly to the DofE Award.
