Cubs meet weekly like our other Scouting groups, usually for around 1 ½ or 2 hours. Weekly sessions cram in a whole load of fun, including games, sport and working on new skills, such as first aid, cooking or climbing. Taking part in these activities helps you improve and feel more confident, we call this building skills for life.
Find your local groupWeekly sessions are led by a handful of extremely patient and qualified leaders. These people are all volunteers who have been trained to keep young people safe and happy. We are always looking for volunteers to get involved in Cubs.
Volunteer with CubsAny child aged 8 – 10½ can become a Cub. You may have already been a Beaver or Squirrel but it doesn’t matter if you’re brand new. You can read all about Cubs on the Scouts UK website. This is the place to find out what the uniform looks like, the badges you’ll earn and what to expect when you join.
Cubs on Scouts UKThis diagram shows where to sew on your badges. It’s a top question from Cub Scout parents all over Wales. The badge to show you’re a Cub in Wales is labelled on the left of the picture. You can do it!
