There’s plenty of reasons to join Scouting in Wales

Scouts is a safe welcoming place for all young people aged 4 to 24 to make new friends, try new things and dive into real life, face-to-face adventure.

A warm Welsh welcome for everyone

All over Wales, from Eyri to Ebbw Vale, young people are getting together one evening a week to forget about school or life online and get stuck into something different. Local groups in Wales exist for all genders, backgrounds, cultures and religions.

Every week we promise you'll be busy not bored

You could be inside trying to make things, bake things, play games, bandage a friend or build a tower. You could be outside climbing, cycling, bird watching, playing or kayaking. There are so many different activities you might try.

As the weeks roll on you'll get better and better!

Sometimes you’ll do activities just for fun, other times they count towards a badge. Badges are a big deal in Scouting, you will collect loads! Regularly taking part means you improve and feel more confident, we call this building skills for life.

Adventures away from home

Once you’ve settled into weekly meetings, you’ll learn about sleepovers, weekend camps and other trips. It’s our mission to help as many young people as possible prepare for their first adventure away from home, whether that is sleeping in their scout hut or going away on a weekend trip. That is because we want as many young people as possible to experience these amazing adventures and we try hard to make them affordable and accessible to all.
