Scout troops meet weekly, usually for around 1½ or 2 hours. Weekly sessions are organised by local leaders and give you space to try new things. Mountain biking, bird watching, craft, cooking, dodge ball, football, photography … it’s the perfect place to make new friends and try new things. Taking part helps you improve and feel more confident, we call this building skills for life.
Find your local groupWeekly sessions and outdoor adventures are led by a handful of very patient and qualified leaders. These people are all helping in their spare time and have been trained to keep young people safe and happy. We are always looking for people to get involved in Scouts.
Volunteer with ScoutsAny young person aged 10 ½ – 14 can become a Scout. You may have already been a Cub but it doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to Scouting. You can read all about Scouts on the Scouts UK website. This is the place to find out what the uniform looks like, the badges you’ll earn and what to expect when you join.
Scouts on Scouts UKThis diagram shows where to sew on your badges. It’s a top question from Scout parents all over Wales. The badge to show you’re a Scout in Wales is labelled on the left of the picture. You can do it!
