We’re recruiting a Community Engagement & Programme Officer (Opening Doors Project) to join ScoutsCymru.
Location: Home-based / flexible within Wales, with regular travel to Ceredigion, Newport and the wider Gwent area
Contract: Fixed-term to March 2028
Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends)
Salary: £27,500 per annum (pro rata)
This role will lead the design and delivery of a community engagement programme focused on removing barriers to volunteering for under-represented communities. You’ll work closely with local partners, volunteers and young people to build relationships, deliver outreach activity, and support inclusive pathways into volunteering.
Key areas include:
• Community engagement and outreach across rural and urban communities
• Delivery of roadshows, workshops and local activity
• Youth-led engagement and capturing youth voice
• Supporting and developing volunteers
• Producing inclusive, bilingual communications and reporting on impact
