2020 was a difficult year for all of us, and as we enter 2021, we want to continue sharing and celebrating our 2020 Celebration of Scouting Awards winners for all that they did for Scouting in Wales during an extremely turbulent year.

Each of the nominations we received were incredible and we couldn’t be prouder of our amazing volunteers!

So, to spread some positivity we wanted to share our winner’s stories with you!

Next up we’ve got Rebecca Routledge who won the New and Innovative award.

Rebecca was nominated for this award as a result of her hard work and dedication to ensuring Scouting in her area continued during lockdown last year.

Rebecca helped the 4th Lliw Valley Scout Group to continue all of their group meetings via Zoom, including a virtual camp with lots of activities to help keep their young people engaged.

Rebecca champions diversity within Scouting, valuing different cultures, religions, languages, and embracing inclusion. She ensures all activities, correspondence and meetings are available bilingually.

Congratulations Rebecca and thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to Scouting in Wales!
