The Celebration of Scouting Awards have taken place for another year and we couldn’t be prouder of all our winners.
In celebration of our winners, we are going to tell you a little bit about the amazing achievements of some of our ScoutsCymru superstars!
Next, we would like to introduce you to the CRAI District Activity Group who won the Group Award.
The CRAI District Activity team have worked tirelessly to ensure that the future of CRAI Scout Park is bright and can continue to provide a safe place for Scouts to develop as young people. From being on the brink of total neglect with little management, the park now has a full team of volunteers and is a great place for young people to be.
All activities and facilities have been developed with Scout values at the core. From teaching groups of Scouts to care for the site and to respect the park’s surroundings, to care for each other whilst on the site and to ensure that all Scouts are accommodated and working together.
The park team operate within Scouting Values and therefore have ensured that the park is accessible and enjoyable for people of all beliefs, races, genders and abilities. These provisions include improved accessibility, segregated changing area, allergen free area and a multi faith area.
Without the Scout Park offering such great facilities and activities, a lot of the young people in the district would not get the opportunity to take part in Scouting, the volunteers give young people both skills and memories for life.
