A kayak, canoe and SUP training and assessment weekend in South Wales for Scouts and Leaders to gain the Scout Badges.

Each Scout must come fully equipped with his/her own paddling equipment, some kayaks and canoes may be available to lend by prior arrangement with the local Scout District. The craft should be in good condition and registered with their Scout District and will be inspected by the coaching staff prior to being allowed on the water. Group Leaders or responsible adults should be available ashore to care for any paddler who for any reason leaves the water.

***NEW*** – Scout Kayaking Permit Preparation Training – £70

Two day training on skills needed to lead water activities in C class waters, and preparation for a paddle sports permit.
Day 1 will focus on safety, equipment, rescues from a variety of craft,
Day 2 will focus on leading sessions.  What to include Before, during, after,  How and when to provide hints and tips, games with a purposes, Progression over multiple sessions.
