It was a birthday party to remember as Squirrels and Beavers from across Gwent headed to Techniquest in Cardiff for a day packed with fun, excitement and adventure!
With plenty of young people joining the celebrations, there was no shortage of energy and enthusiasm as they explored everything the popular science discovery centre had to offer.
From splashing about with the water activities to tackling the mirror maze and enjoying the slide, there was something to keep everyone entertained.
And judging by the feedback from some of our youngest Scouts, the water activities, slide and mirror maze were firm favourites!
Of course, Scouting is all about trying new things, discovering the world around us and having fun with friends, and this birthday celebration certainly ticked all those boxes.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for Squirrels and Beavers from across Gwent to come together, share new experiences and enjoy a very special celebration.
There was even more reason to celebrate on the day, as several Beavers were presented with their Chief Scout’s Bronze Awards, recognising their hard work, commitment and achievements throughout their time in Beavers.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the birthday party and made it such a memorable occasion for our youngest members.
Molly Reed, Programme Team Member – Squirrels, said:
“What a fantastic celebration! It was wonderful to see so many of our youngest members enjoying themselves, and I was especially pleased to present some of our Beavers with their Chief Scout’s Bronze Awards. A huge congratulations to them all on such a brilliant achievement! And, of course, a big thank you to the volunteers who worked so hard to make the day possible.”
Happy birthday, Squirrels and Beavers! Here’s to many more adventures, new friendships and plenty of fun along the way!
