Hello Shwmae

As we come to the end of 2025, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every single volunteer across ScoutsCymru – diolch o galon for everything you do. Your dedication, energy, and passion have made this an incredible year for Scouting in Wales.

We’ve shared some fantastic moments. The All-Wales Cub Funday brought young people together in their thousands for a day filled with adventure and excitement. Our Explorers took on the challenge of a lifetime during the Explorer Belt in Bavaria, an experience made possible by the commitment and support of our leaders and volunteers. And of course, the SWAT weekends once again showed the very best of teamwork, skills, and enthusiasm across Wales.

This year, we also celebrated a huge achievement – winning Charity of the Year at the WCVA Awards. This recognition belongs to all of you. It reflects the impact, passion, and dedication that our volunteers bring to communities across Wales every single day.

Just as important are the local events happening week after week – camps, hikes, badge nights, community projects, and those moments where a young person gains confidence, tries something new, or feels part of something bigger. These moments change lives, and they only happen because of you.

Looking ahead, 2026 will be an exciting year. With the launch of our new strategy, we’re looking forward to seeing ScoutsCymru go from strength to strength as we all work together to support even more young people across Wales.

So, as we celebrate this festive season, I hope you feel proud of everything you’ve contributed this year. Thank you for the time you give, the care you show, and the difference you make.

From all of us at ScoutsCymru, Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda and here’s to even more adventure in 2026.

Diolch

Jon
