Sgowtio ledled Cymru yn cefnogi galwad yr Urdd i drechu tlodi yn Neges Heddwch ac Ewyllys Da eleni
Mae Sgowtio ledled Cymru yn falch o gefnogi Neges Heddwch ac Ewyllys Da yr Urdd 2025, sydd eleni yn canolbwyntio ar fater brys tlodi plant.
Wedi’i chreu gan bobl ifanc o’r Urdd a Choleg y Cymoedd, gyda chefnogaeth Achub y Plant, mae neges eleni yn taflu goleuni ar y realiti bod un o bob tri phlentyn yng Nghymru yn tyfu i fyny mewn tlodi – ac yn galw ar gymunedau ac arweinwyr y byd fel ei gilydd i weithredu.
I ddangos eu cefnogaeth, recordiodd grwpiau o Gymru neges fideo ddwyieithog yn sefyll mewn undod â’r Urdd, yn adleisio eu galwad am newid. Mae neges yr Urdd, a ryddhawyd mewn fideo pwerus heddiw, yn sôn am wreiddiau sy’n ymestyn i galon cymunedau ac yn galw ar bob un ohonom i ofalu am y bobl ifanc sy’n dod ar ein hôl. Mae’n ein hatgoffa bod yn rhaid clywed lleisiau pobl ifanc – a bod newid parhaol yn dechrau’n agos atynt.
“Mae Sgowtio yn ymwneud â rhoi’r hyder i bobl ifanc godi eu lleisiau, gweithio gyda’u cymunedau, a helpu i greu newid parhaol,” meddai Kerrie Gemmill, Prif Swyddog Gweithredol ScoutsCymru.
“Dyna pam rydym yn falch o sefyll gyda’r Urdd i gefnogi Neges Heddwch ac Ewyllys Da eleni. Mae’n sôn am y math o fyd y mae ein pobl ifanc yn ymdrechu amdano – un sy’n deg ac yn gyfiawn i bawb ac wedi’i ffurfio gan leisiau’r rhai a fydd yn ei etifeddu.”
Mae’r Neges Heddwch ac Ewyllys Da wedi bod yn draddodiad pwerus yng Nghymru ers dros 100 mlynedd – neges gan bobl ifanc Cymru i weddill y byd. Mae neges eleni yn ein hatgoffa bod newid gwirioneddol yn dechrau mewn cymunedau, pan fydd pobl yn cael y lle a’r gefnogaeth i godi eu lleisiau.
Gwahoddir grwpiau sgowtio ledled Cymru i ymuno drwy wylio a rhannu fideo’r Urdd ar 15 Mai gan ddefnyddio #Heddwch2025, a chan ddefnyddio’r pecyn addysg a’r adnoddau amlieithog sydd ar gael ar-lein.

Scouting across Wales is proud to support the Urdd’s 2025 Peace and Goodwill Message, which this year focuses on the urgent issue of child poverty.
Created by young people from the Urdd and Coleg y Cymoedd, with support from Save the Children, this year’s message shines a spotlight on the reality that one in three children in Wales is growing up in poverty – and calls on communities and world leaders alike to take action.
To show their support, groups from Wales recorded a bilingual video message standing in solidarity with the Urdd, echoing their call for change. The Urdd’s message, released in a powerful video today, speaks of roots that reach into the heart of communities and calls on all of us to care for the young people who come after us. It’s a reminder that the voices of young people must be heard – and that lasting change starts close to home.
“Scouting is about giving young people the confidence to raise their voices, work with their communities, and help create lasting change,” said Kerrie Gemmill, CEO of ScoutsCymru.
“That’s why we’re proud to stand with the Urdd in supporting this year’s Peace and Goodwill Message. It speaks of the kind of world our young people are striving for – one that is fair and equitable for all and shaped by the voices of those who will inherit it.”
The Peace and Goodwill Message has been a powerful tradition in Wales for over 100 years – a message from young people in Wales to the rest of the world. This year’s message reminds us that real change starts in communities, when people are given the space and support to raise their voices.
Scouting groups across Wales are invited to join in by watching and sharing the Urdd’s video on 15 May using #Heddwch2025, and by using the education pack and multilingual resources available online.
