The London Marathon is no easy task, however ScoutCymru member Brianne Evans has accepted the challenge.

This October Brianne Evans will be embarking on one of her biggest running challenges to date. Brianne will be taking part in the London Marathon alongside fellow Scouts from across the UK.

“I’m super excited, but completely nervous at the same time, the best place to be.

I’m going to be running the marathon for The Scout Association and I aim to raise £2000 in aid to allow the Association to continue all the great work they do for all the young people in all our communities.

I’ve been scouting now for around 9 years and however cheesy it sounds it has changed my life. All the endless opportunities, fabulous friendships and countless adventures, scouting has provided me with the opportunities to grow and develop within scouting and outside. This is the reason I’ve decided to run for The Scout Association so they’re able to give others the same opportunities as I’ve had. We are all volunteers so every little helps. Any spare pennies would be greatly appreciated to help my goal of £2000.”
