At ScoutsCymru, Youthshaped Scouting is at the heart of what we do. It gives our young people the opportunity to mould their Scouting journey whilst developing vital Skills for Life.

Youthshaped Scouting comes in many forms, from a Beaver lodge voting for which game they want to play at the end of the night to an Explorer planning their Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

We want to create a picture of how young people across Wales are shaping their Scouting so that we can develop resources and projects to support our volunteers. To do this our Youth Commissioners have designed two surveys, one for young people and one for adults. The surveys should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.

The survey for young people is designed so that parents can support the completion, you can download the parents guide to completing here. Our members can also use the completion of the survey to count towards their Democracy Challenge Badge.

The survey for volunteers will really help us to shape our future projects and develop new resources. There is also a guide for volunteers which explains how to complete and how to send the survey to parents. This can also be downloaded here.

We are going to be keeping the surveys open until 24th July and you complete it by clicking here –
