The Annual General Meeting of the Council of ScoutsCymru will be held on Saturday, 10th October 2020. The formal notice of the meeting and the agenda will be sent to you prior to the meeting.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
As noted in the ScoutsCymru Constitution, there are ten seats on the Board of Trustees for Elected Members. There will be elections this year for two positions on the Board of Trustees as follows:
• Two Trustees aged 18-25 years of age from any part of Wales.
All members of the Council of ScoutsCymru will be able to vote for any candidate.
ELECTED YOUTH MEMBERS
Nominations must be submitted to the ScoutsCymru Headquarters no later than Friday, 4th September 2020. Nominations must be on the enclosed Elected Member Nomination Form and must be signed by both a Proposer and a Seconder. Nominees must be a Member or Associate Member of the Scout Association in Wales either uniformed or non-uniformed.
Both the Proposer and Seconder must be current members of the Council of ScoutsCymru and should support the nomination with a statement (max. 60 words each) indicating why they believe that the nominee would make a good trustee, highlighting the qualities and skills they possess.
Candidates must sign the form to signal their acceptance of the nomination and their compliance with the Charity Trustee Declaration Statement. Candidates must also complete the enclosed Candidate Information 2020 form. Further copies of the forms are available on request.
All Members and Associate Members of the Scout Association in Wales over 18 years old and under 24 years on or before 10th October 2020 are eligible to stand for election as Elected Members of the Board of Trustees, except those who are continuing members of the Board.
VOTING PROCEDURE
If an election is necessary details of the voting procedure will be sent to you by 11th September 2020.
All Members of the Council of ScoutsCymru will be eligible to vote for the Elected Youth Members.
