As Scouts, we live within our values and work with other organisations to ensure our young people and volunteers can develop essential skills for life.
That is why we’re proud to be working with the RNLI on a new water safety badge for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to help everyone in Wales stays safe near water.
The programme will be built around four key themes:
- Spot the Dangers
- Stay Together
- Float
- Call 999/112
The development of this badge is still in the early stages but we’re keen to get our members involved!
- We’re asking young people to design a badge for each of the three sections and submit their designs. The winners will receive a year’s membership to the RNLI’s Storm Force and a ScoutsCymru goodie bag! Badge designs can either be emailed to admin@scoutscymru.org.uk or posted to ScoutsCymru HQ, Castle House, Southern Street, Caerphilly, CF83 1lH by 1st May 2021.
- We’re also looking for Groups to pilot the badge and help to shape the final activities. The badge can be delivered in a month and will be jam-packed full of fun activities.
