Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus

Happy St David’s Day to all our wonderful Scouts and volunteers across Wales. We’ve always been extremely proud of the unique opportunities we offer to young people. This year we are celebrating 100 years of ScoutsCymru and this is a great opportunity to recognise and showcase what it means to be a Scout in Wales.

Scouting in Wales – encouraging everyone to get involved

All over Wales, from Eryri to Ebbw Vale, young people are getting together one evening a week to forget about school or life online and get stuck into something different. Local groups in Wales exist for all genders, backgrounds, cultures and religions. If you are interested in starting a group in a new area or reaching more young people from diverse backgrounds, we have funding to help you.

Celebrating our amazing Welsh landscape

All over Wales, once a week young people are ditching screens for streams and getting outside and having fun! We love seeing  pictures of groups out in the water, woods, beach or mountains. If you have pictures of young people enjoying the Welsh landscape and you have the relevant permissions, we would love to share them. Email your pictures to admin@scoutscymru.org.uk

Badges to celebrate being a Scout in Wales

There are several badges you can order to celebrate our Welsh culture and heritage. One of the most popular is a blanket badge especially for St David’s Day designed by Levi Byrne, from Pembrokeshire who won a competition last year. We also have the Welsh Awards for all ages and the Dragon Award for Scouts, Explorers and Network. Plus coming soon is out very special 100 year celebration badge!

If you would like to know more about the Welsh badges please contact: admin@scoutscymru.org.uk

Being a Scout in Wales is important because it helps us support and love our country and because we are in Wales. When we do camps like AWSC there are amazing views and countryside.
